Male-Factor Infertility

What is Sperm Collection?

The sperm collection is an advanced microsurgical technique used to collect sperms in case of male-factor infertility where there is only few or no sperms in the seminal fluid.

There are two different techniques to collect sperms:

MESA (Microsurgical Epididymal Sperm Aspiration)

If epididymis has sperms, then MESA (Microsurgical Epididymal Sperm Aspiration) is preferred as a method for sperm collection.

TESE (Testicular Sperm Extraction)

For men that have only few or no sperms in the epididymi, or have no epididymis, then the sperms can be directly collected from the testicles.
