Treatment of Endometriosis

There are two methods used for treatment of endometriosis:

Medication and surgery

• NSAID Analgesics
• Hormones
• Danazol
• Progesterone
• GnRH Agonist
• Aromatase inhibitors

Surgery for Endometriosis

The most common type of surgeries for endometriosis involves use of laparoscopy to remove the lesions of endometriosis from the pelvic region.

The surgery for endometriosis provides a better pain management in the long term as compared to drug therapy, however, it may be required to repeat the surgery in the future.
